The Ledger — everything that has happened to the archive, as opposed to in a brief.

| 2026-08-02 | Operation | All seven back issues re-skinned; no content altered The briefs were redesigned onto the layout used by throughline.tryrerun.com, in SITREP's palette. Editions published before that date carried the previous stylesheet, so the archive held two visual generations. Rather than leave the split or hide the repair, the seven editions of 27 July – 2 August 2026 were re-skinned in place and the operation recorded here. The change was a STYLESHEET SWAP and nothing else: everything between <style> and </style> was replaced and no byte outside it was touched. `restyle_back_issues.py` refuses to write unless it can first prove the remainder is byte-identical, and it proved that for all seven. Prose, severity scores, source lists, timestamps and model names are the same bytes that were published. The pre-redesign copies are retained at /opt/sitrep-digests-backup-preredesign. Presentation changed; the record did not. |
